The funny thing what is called oppression wasn't actually oppression. They simply had their role to play in society just as men did. And most women happily did so. Saying that women didn't have rights is at best a half-truth.

Now if you look at Afghanistan THAT you can call oppression and dehumanization. But I guarantee you that many Afghani women support it. Women are in an entirely different league than men when it comes to oppressing women.
