Aaaany day now they will set it to ~USD$335 like they do in Japan.
( What actually happens : Nintendo is now ruled by ''monetisation experts'' who did extensive market studies on how to extract as much money as possible from costumers of each country. They don't aim at the market of people who would only buy it at $300 to buy 1 to 3 games new only and the rest second hand, and not pay into subscription services.
The Nintendo that once bundled the 2DS with a game for a total of $79.99, and a New 3DS hardware upgarde on sale for $100... is dead. ).
