I believe J13 broke him. The assassin failed to kill him, but the wound put the fear of death into him once the adrenalin wore off. Biden's Secret Service failed to protect him. His own private security failed to protect him. Israel probably offered him and his family protection from "the Iranian assassins" and a deal was made.
I don't think he broke and I don't think he changed; he just made his deal.
I think they got overconfident and tried to move too quickly. They thought they had enough control to shove DEI and Covid down our throats without any resistance. Trump figured otherwise and asked them to make him president to keep the ratchet cranking. They turned him down, thinking they had locked in control.
He ran anyway and surprised them by winning. He then proceeded to rub their faces in it; he really didn't do much of anything in his first term other than stir the pot. They fixed the next election but it was so obvious that they were looking down the barrel of an actual insurrection.
So they sat down with him and let him be president, for real. He gets to act without opposition so long as he achieves their goals for them. The assassination "attempt" was a show; there's no way the SS would let a shooter get that close to a presidential candidate, and there's no way a shooter would miss at that range. They were catalysing his base and creating a mythos, while demonstrating that they could take him out but chose not to.
The only reason we didn't go to war with Iran in his first term was because of infighting withing the (((elites))).

That was staged.
