This is correct, but people are still so butt-hurt over Obama that they can't acknowledge that the Iran nuclear deal was good, and would have prevented this current disaster.
The 'deal' was dreadful and actively caused the current situation. Just fyi. Iran never upheld any of their side of it, they laughed all the way to the bank at Obama's stupidity & gullibility.
Given the fact that you claim Iraq had WMDs, it is safe to conclude the exact opposite from what you claim. Iran was upholding the deal even after Trump pulled out, in order to keep the Europeans in.
Iraq had a WMD program. They moved it to Syria to hide it. How can you move something that doesn't exist? Israel blew it to kingdom come, or do you believe that it was a "day camp for children"? Just like Iraq's original nuclear facility was "a daycare" in 1981. 🤔
Meanwhile? How does breaking every agreement in "the deal" count as compliance? The Europeans wanted to make money off Iran's situation, just like the did with Saddam's Iraq, they are heartless ghouls with zero morality. Iran sold discount oil to China against the agreement. They tried to import nuclear weapon & enrichment tech, mostly from Europe.
