Homeschooling is free for all so it's not a matter of needing to afford. I also believe homeschooling is superior to all private schools unless you're sending your kid to one with other super rich people where you can build connections but even still if you're a part of such affluence, you can get by without the private school just as well.

No family needs both parents working. Not a single one. And if you truly can't afford it then you shouldn't be having kids.
