Humans are beasts of burden. We are not happy unless we are working. That's why communists and the retired are so miserable.

Of course, your labor should be in service of yourself, your family, your community, and your nation (which is not the same thing as a country) - not in service of shareholders, moneyed interests, the dregs of society, or economic zones. And if the current system forces you into serving any of the latter, then your true life's work is the annihilation of that system.
