The timing is way off for him to be reacting to the "gun gun", that was way earlier. His reaction syncs up with the first gunshot noise pretty much.
And no dust kick up is a fair critique, but it's always possible to miss something. Slides don't spontaneously move, there's clear images of the slide being back, then being forward in the period of the gunshot sounds.
There is an argument to say that it kind of looks like the slide is stuck/locked back from the time it was taken from the holster, so maybe it just released rather than firing. But it snapping forward at the same time as another gun going off is quite the coincidence.

close inspection of the video shows the shooter initially turned around after "he's got a gun", which morphed into "Gun Gun!" at the time he started reaching for his sidearm. the video above shows the shooter started reaching before the sound of the first gunshot. in fact, the video shows the shooter reaching for his own sidearm at the precise moment the agent in grey initially grabbed Pretti's gun in it's holster well before the first shot.
I haven't been able to find any footage where the slide of pretti's gun is anything more than a blur though.
This is one of the ones that I think is clear enough to convince, you can also see a little bit of gas discharge too. And I like it for not being digitally sharpened, just raw footage slowed down and zoomed in.
Oh sorry I mixed up yours with another comment I had read elsewhere in the process of replying, they said the guy holding the suspects gun flinched when someone shouted gun gun, which was dumb.
Yeah the blue jeans guy definitely unholsters in response to someone in the pile on calling out the gun, but that doesn't seem unreasonable. That's just putting yourself in a position to respond fast to a potentially dangerous situation.

good stuff. it's still a bit blurry for my taste, but that angle definitely supports the idea.
we'll know for sure when the forensics come out. if the gun did go off that will definitely be included in the report.
