Losing the youth is devastating for them, why else do you think they groom kids to be trans/gay and basically de facto liberals. Even in thr book 1984 children were a special, privileged class they cherished to carry the torch for their party. It is the reason they killed Charlie Kirk. Fuentes and Candace are probably in their sights next.
