Articles like this remind me how much I miss the days of getting teased for reading comics or i remember getting laughed at when I brought Heir to the Empire to read in 6th grade. Why can’t these things just be niche? Anita Sarkessian and the ladies at the Mary Sue remind me of the women who mocked nerds but then saw it becoming trendy so they then acted like they were always into these things.
The goal is to invade every male space and either subvert it or destroy it. There can be no competing spaces, fictional or real, against the Message. Most of all anything resembling the Heroes Journey for boys to emulate and work towards. It needs to be grrlbosses who are magically gifted all their skills (or just had them from birth) as they mow down men twice their size or it's too misogynistic and needs updating.
