Is this major? The $200 million Trump didn't want to spend on Syria seems like him just viewing that type of soft power as a waste, and he didn't want to bomb ISIS because they were attacking Syria and Iran.
Yes, it is major. If the US stops backing the Kurds/SDF/other "freedom" militias then Assad doesn't fall, and Greater Israel can't go ahead. But the State Department kept US troops in the region and kept the money flowing and Assad goes down shortly after. Then, whaddya know, Israel simply gobbles up parts of Syria, lebensraum style.
OK, I see what you're saying. I think a more plausible explanation is that he just didn't understand that situation because he wasn't invested. That fits there not being consequences to his own admin defying him.
Hmm OK, but I doubt that. Sheldon Adelson had a revolving door pass to the White House. There's no way this wasn't explained to Trump.
As far as no consequences for defying him - this was part of a bureaucratic rebellion that lasted 3 years and culminated in the biggest false flag since 9/11.
It may have been explained to Trump, but then the last Jew he talked to about the Kurds called them useless so he repeated it. Trashing your own golems is a very Jewish thing to do, after all.
