What if the USA negotiates with the EU such that when the USA takes over Canada, every Canadian is given 1-month to declare either EU Citizenship or American citizenship. If a Canadian fails to declare, they're automatically made an EU citizen. The actual EU country they are citizens of would be up to how the EU wants to go about it.
This way all Canadians that don't want to be a part of the USA has the opportunity to move to the EU. I think this is a great strategy from the American perspective because in theory, it would likely rid Canada of the worst Canadians who'd take the EU citizenship. In this way, the USA only keeps the good Canadians so by bringing in Canada as a state, it isn't necessarily some mega liberal retarded state like California. This also might be a great way to sell the conquest to Canadians who may be quite happy with getting EU citizenship instead.
This seems like a win-win for everyone.
We don't need a "strategy--" the only thing stopping the United States from taking Canada has been that we didn't want to. If we wanted to, we could do it on foot in an afternoon, without even a need for new mass mobilization.
The States is far less serious a Country than it used to be. But Canada has never been even a remotely serious one.
Didn't they hand your ass to you when you started a war against them?
The one 213 years ago? Where the US had existed for less than 40 years? Where the "Canadian" forces were British, back when the British still had some spine?
Yeah, I don't think that's applicable today.
US is the greatest country in the history of universal countries of the universe, since 1776
At least that's what I was told.
Never won a war outside North America, if didn't use the nuclear bombs probably Tokyo would still be burning. Ok, maybe Grenada.
Barbary Pirates, Spanish-American War, banana wars all over South America, Boxer Rebellion...
Canada's been a sovereign nation for 44 years. We don't know how independent Canada would hold up in a full war because they've only been involved in regional conflicts where NATO told them to go.
Didn't say it was, I just thought his comment showed complete ignorance of history (as of everything else). I don't think they could do the same today. That said, if they had free and widespread gun ownership, I'm pretty sure it'd be impossible for you to hold that land without going Gaza on them.
