I don't remember names and I didn't even really have a conversation, I pretty much just greeted them, introduced myself and left. I only even approached because my mom told me to, before then we were just sitting around for a few minutes doing nothing. I don't feel like it was an experience worth the time it took to make it happen.
Well it's how interactions start. Over time you gain the confidence to stick around, learn and remember names, get to know people. This is how you build a social network.

You talk about them, you get to know them, talk about what's around you, ask how long they've been going to the church, talk about the weather, listen to them and ask questions about things they say.
