I mean, it's big news. I view it more as being interested in the Kirk stuff - and Candace being one of the only big people talking about it - than him fangirling over her.
It's also just following the trends/news. It probably would have looked like I was fangirling over Fuentes, when he was especially big in the news, and after he crushed Piers, and stuff. When I'm not even a fan. Same thing with Candace; if you care about Kirk (and I'd argue more people should), you might inadvertently seem like you're going hard for Candace.
Just like with Fuentes, the people attacking Candace the hardest are absolutely fucking retarded, so if you're talking about things she's involved in, it can seem like you're all in on her team. Just because the other side is worthy of much more criticism.
