Ideology and irrelevant people aside...they're just terribly designed too.
The left one doesn't even say "UNITED STATES OF AMERCA" on it, outside of as part of Girl Scouts. The second is even worse, as it doesn't have a clear border, and looks like shit. Here's another bad one when I was looking for comparisons: Vera.
Compare to even some of the previous "random women" coins. This one I found at least has a clear border, and isn't cluttered. And then your classic has no unnecessary clutter at all.
You want to put random shit on the coins? It should at least be about America, and it should be well designed.
Our coinage used to be so iconic. I collect old silver dollars. Everyone loves the Morgan Dollar (with good reason) but I'll die on the hill that the Peace Dollar is the prettiest coin we've ever produced.
Makes me sad we're slapping random non-white women who may have once done a thing on quarters.
