I also pointed out (maybe not here?) that he was escaping from an openly hostile wife. He was de-escalating which is good. Unfortunately that meant he had to walk in front of the car. :/
That wasn't here, but that's an interesting point. Hadn't thought of it that way, and worth considering, although not sure I agree. I think he kind of walked past the wife to step in front of the vehicle still. Wife was on the right side of the vehicle, and he was further right. He had to walk past her to get in front. If he'd been moving away from her, he would have moved further from the vehicle too, presumable.
It is messy, but one side is paid LEO and the other is deranged paid domestic terrorists. I know who I'm going to support.
I don't really support either. I do come down more on his side, as I've said, as she definitely behaved in a way that put her own lie in danger, and that's on her...but I still wish it hadn't come to what it did.
