That faggot Paul Tassi wrote an article pointing out that Highguard has gone dark since the disastrous The Game Awards reveal. The game comes out in three weeks. Here's the only paragraph worth reading:
There has been effectively zero online presence for Highguard since the night of The Game Awards on December 11. No tweets from the main account (with just 5,800 followers), no new videos or previews on its YouTube page (with just 1,300 subscribers). I would not normally make too much of a big deal about this, as it takes some time for promotional campaigns to spool up, but this is a game that announced it would be out on January 26. Of this year. As in, under three weeks from now.
They either spent all their marketing budget on that award show trailer spot and now have to penny pinch to survive till release, or they're working furiously to salvage this shitshow to come up with something to wow potential players on launch.
Either way, I already know it's another game where the videos about the game will be more entertaining than the game ever could be.
I'll be playing it, for the memes. It is free to play, right?
Is it? Either way 25GB and Kernel Level Anti-Cheat isn't worth it even just for shits and giggles.
Meh, true.
