It's a big place, I'm not gonna pretend I have my finger on the pulse of every state. Some places are self-hating hellscapes, some places are refreshingly based.

In any given conflict a large proportion of the population will just do anything to stay out of it, only the most passionate will actually fight, which side gets how many is not so simple to guess. A wide range of overall average proportions seem pretty plausible, but I will say a large number of turncoats I have met are like that because they're just too pussy to stand up for themselves, so don't seem the most reliable force to expect to turn up to an honest to goodness fight.
