I just st started playing. One of my all time favorites.
It's funny how at the beginning, it looked like it was DOA and the unreleased Forza Motorsport was going to blow it away.
Now look at the situation - Turn 10 is shuttered, Forza Motorsport got a final "thanks for 20 years" update before being executed behind the barn by Microsoft.
GT7 is setting new player records, still receiving major updates and has completely crushed all the competition. Project Motor Racing died on arrival, the studio has already all been fired. Rennsport is just a Saudi money laundering scheme.
I think the death of FM will result in Sony dropping Gran Turismo 7 on Xbox in 2026.
I expect the same. If they put Bloodborne on other consoles as well, I don't think Sony has an actual console anymore. It will be the steam machine vs Switch.
On the other hand, I've seen some people use Gaussian Splats hooked up to a driving simulator to make some great looking driving games. It's all new, so who knows if the controls will work, but it looks nice.
