Just looking at this I'm just thinking, did they learn from us or is it certain communities capable of doing this as I wish WE gatekept this well against the feminists, alphabet crazies and normies in general.

There was nothing for us to gatekeep as fans. They didn't take our games away from us from the fandom side. They took our games away by taking over the studios and publishers from the inside, so unless we had hiring and firing power with those studios, there was nothing we could do.
The gatekeeping we should have done was being more ruthless toward gamers who kept buying their shit because of FOMO. If the spineless motherfuckers had been gatekeeping their wallets along with us a decade ago, the system would be fixed by now. But it has taken all these years, a recession, and hyperinflation to get them to finally stop mindlessly buying every new release.
I blame all of it on gamers. They begged for this to happen to the industry by continuing to fund it. And I am embarrassed to even be associated with such a spineless group of people.

Sometimes I wonder if there is more we can do. We can shame fucktards who buy shitty titles but we can't fully stop them.but let's say we got 100,000 gamers to pony up $1,000. That's a hundred million dollars. Shrug maybe some kind of critical mass crowd funding thing to buy out certain IPs or studios or decent enough chunks of studios to steer them into a certain direction. Maybe think bigger than games. Make a based fund that buys massive shares of publicly traded companies to be the opposite of Black Rock.
