I'm guessing JG5 told you I got scalped by Sydney Sweeney and AEO. For the record, that short was correct, I just couldn't predict that useless cunt actually managed to convince people to buy their overpriced shit.
Made it all back and more today on GE Vernova.

I went short on AEO before she signed with them. It was a company heading for Chapter 11 fast.
I averaged up when she first signed and closed out at a slight profit, then re-entered expecting an earnings failure.
Didn't happen. Held it, finally cut my losses after a second quarter of inexplicable success.
Oh and here I was prepared to laugh really hard if you'd tried to short say, silver just because she bought into it last month.
Because those guys are about to have a real bad time.
Ironically someone I know is heavily short silver and gold. 100% of their portfolio at 5x leverage. I wouldn't short silver just because some Hollywood dipshit bought in. AEO makes poor quality junk and had been flashing profit warnings since the first tariff conversations last year. It was a good short, but her cult are extremely stupid.
I lost 68% on the AEO trade in the end. It's not good but I bounce back. I wasn't stupid enough to over-allocate. Only 1% of the portfolio, so the loss is tiny, just an ego hit more than anything else. My first failed trade of 2025.
