Your browser can block cookies.

Why the fuck is this my problem?

Oh.. yea.. your browser is made by an advertising company. Hilariously they did threaten at the start of this year to end third party cookies by default. They realized how fucked that would leave them in the end and haven't brought it up since.

They always make policy that is designed to target small businesses. The fines are just the bribe to make the government do this. Google can afford to throw away a few billion every year. As if their shareholders are sophisticated enough to care.

So not only is the EU able to offer most of their countries socialised healthcare because it's the US footing the bill for defence for decades, they also like a parasite, live off fining US tech firms than truly developing their own.

No wonder they were scared of the tarrifs, they were scared their host would no longer be available..

The enemy sold to the European population was Soviet during the cold war, leading to a dependency on US military instead of fully building up their full military capacity again especially after said cold war ended.

It doesn't treat it's people properly and the US gets to tell the EU what to do by having hold over it.

It's Europe, corporate income tax isn't even close to all the taxes they extracted from each of those companies. There's also income tax from all of their employees, Social security/national insurance payments too. Some have separate mandatory state pension contributions too.

The total tax income could be easily double or triple what is stated in the graphs

It looks like opposition to EU censorship is being weaponized to use people as foot soldiers for big tech. Those companies are likely being fined for being legitimately shady and anti-consumer. Twitter isn't even in this list. Meta censors plenty. That's not what this group of companies is being fined for.

I don't have an issue with this. I have an issue with the US not fining every company and government entity that doesn't follow OUR laws. Make it, I don't know, 3.8 trillion, and call it a wrap.

Just when you though you had enough reasons to dislike Europe.

How about you dislike the scummy tech companies fucking people about and the constitution breaking state allowing it because they can use it themselves.

If you're gonna fine them, fine them even more.

If you manage to break up the Tech Oligarchy here it'd be the only thing you'd do for us, not vice versa.
