You don't say. The Chinese are still pissed about the whole rape of Nanking/Unit 731 shit. They aren't going to be friendly with each other any time soon.

The communist Chinese didn't even fight the Japanese, mao thanked Japan for the invasion so kmt can be distracted and left mao alone to build the communist army. The modern day anti-Japan nationalist sentiment from China is pure performative bullshit to distract them from the fact half of their country makes less than $200 a month, those currently have jobs are at risk of not getting paid for months or just flat fired while their houses lose 40% of purchase value.

I'm sure that does wonders to convince their citizens to get over grandma being gang raped and grandpa being experimented on to death. Especially knowing that it contributed to them being stuck in a communist hellhole today.

I doubt there're even 1 million Chinese who are descendants of victims of Japanese war crimes that survived the cultural revolution, the femines and then the 30 years 1 child policy. Most Chinese don't care about the sufferings of war victims, their beef with Japan is the shame of the great ancient empire being brought down by a "tiny japan" whom they always looked down as stupid barbarians
