the cities he sent the national guard to are actually being cleaned up, and public support for safety has increased dramatically because of this
I'm pretty sure the calls for public safety would have increased pretty dramatically if those cities were on fire as well, possibly even moreso. I think it's more the crime and destruction that lead to the support rather than the response, hence why some people around here were wondering if we really should save them from themselves.
You're definitely right about USAID though, that's a good thing even if there's far more left to clean up.
Immigration is more mixed, yeah he's done more than the democrats and most of the republicans as well to secure the border and fix the situation but then he ruins it by coming out and saying "maybe we really should have illegal worker programs though." He also doesn't seem to be actually serious about sending 10 million+ people back despite his recent posts.

No, if this was the case the BLM riots would have triggered that response. The cities were literally on fire. Nothing happened. Nobody cares about average Americans even a little bit except for Trump and a few other people.
The normal, but oblivious liberals do have their limit even if at times it doesn't seem that way, plus there's everyone in the middle.
The moderate left has been pretty demotivated and moving more towards "I don't want to talk about politics" because they know everyone is pretty sick of the left, and even they don't agree with a lot of "progressive" left beliefs.
Yet we're still probably going to lose midterms because of how Trump has handled Epstein, Israel, and h1b visas so we just threw all that political momentum away.

Yeah, because Trump won. Were it the other way around, it would be "I don't want to talk about those people getting arrested for misgendering."

This I agree with. It seems his chief of staff is Baghdad Bob.
