I don't agree. They're riding the tiger. There has been not much meaningful change on the ground. They have had a lot of operational success, but that alone is no substitute for strategic vision. You're not going to bomb your entire neighborhood into pulp for all of eternity.
And the response to a terrorist attack isn't going to be a 9/11 style insanity.
Bad for PR but they have everything they want. Wait for the big terrorist attack that's coming, they will recoup their PR with it.
