After the election there in March? The Pro-independence parties did great & the traditionalists got hammered. However? The 'Democrats' party (no relation to US Dems) did a flip-flop on independence and formed a coalition with the non-independence parties.
They could have formed a majority with Naleraq, but chose not to.
There's a lot of popular support for an independent Greenland, but not much for joining the USA... yet.
So you are saying there's a chance?
Well I hope so! It would be great for the people of Greenland and for the free world too. Plus it may encourage Trump to annex Canada 😄
But in both cases? It isn't likely to happen anytime soon. 4 years until Greenland's next election, I think? It would take a tidal wave of support for the separation party to get a big majority. Even then they may just go independent, which would be better than being under Denmark's control. For them & US relations too.
I hope this an ironic comment. Praying for you.
Canada is not recoverable, we are lost because the Liberal Party has destroyed us. Alberta is the only Province that pays into the pool, everyone else drains Alberta's money away.
Greenland is severely restricted by Denmark's laws. They had to fight to get some modern airports! They generally aren't allowed to mine or drill, everything is limited by Copenhagen's Green Agenda.
Greenland doesn't "need to" join the USA, but breaking away from Denmark would help them a lot. China is waiting though :/
