I'm a little disappointed that their new VR "Frame" is following the meta quest so closely by being the standalone device with optional tethering. I'd rather just have a streamlined display+motion-tracking device without useless mediocre processing power included by default. I don't need it, I'm not playing that shit on the go, I'll only be doing the stupid blind flailing in the privacy of my own home next to my beefy desktop, thank you very much.
I'm glad they finally pulled their finger out on the wireless connection at long last though.
Since I design, the stand alone VR kit connected to a bunch of other stuff is part of my plans.
