The reason we don't have enough of "certain talents" here is BECAUSE of the H-1B visas, turns out companies would rather hire cheap foreign labor over expensive domestic labor, and turns out when they ONLY hire cheap foreign labor people domestically stop studying and learning that particular field since there is no future in it for THEM.
Even if you’re talking about the same fields, we do have enough ‘talent’ here. The main thing with H1Bs is that they pay them substantially less and they’re afraid of being fired. It’s importing people we’re outsourcing to. We have plenty of programmers and engineers, they just aren’t willing to work for peanuts. Pajeets are willing to work for peanuts.
