I appreciate that there are those willing to serve and have the right motives despite the state of the country. Also a time to plug one of my all time favorite movies The Best Years of Our Lives about three WW2 vets coming home after the war and adjusting to civilian life.

I had to look up why we had a holiday on a Tuesday. I never noticed Veterans Day was always 11/11
I’ve never gotten it off except for when I was in the Air Force. I worked for a company once who had everyone vote to have Veterans Day or Friday after Thanksgiving off. It was unanimous for Friday after Thanksgiving.
The search engine says Federal Employees are off on this day. 🤭
