Went to an amusement park. All the kids have the day off due to the holiday tomorrow. The girls look like girls again. Feminine. Pretty. Not androgenous. Maybe a little too proactively dressed but no doubt about it they are pretty, female, and MOST are not fat. They're taking it easy on the makeup. The boys are mostly awkward looking and still have that stupid broccoli haircut and dress retarded. It's an improvement from a few years ago when I came here and the kids all looked completely ugly, retarded and zombified.
So if you have an adolescent son, reach him how to shave properly, dress like a man and not a cartoon character, and I think the kids will be alright.
I was in town this weekend at an event and noticed the same there were a lot of kids out and I haven't seen nearly as many freakish girls.
I've got a lot of teen boys in the family and friends with them as well. Yeah, a lot of them need help with that hair. Depending on what age you saw I think they grow out of it a bit later in teen years. Oddly enough I get the idea the girls like it though. So I'll just overlook appearance for now. If you talk to them most aren't bad. I don't know one that cares about SJW stuff. You can't talk to them like a boomer. No teenage boy wants to talk about "how are you doing in school" things. Neither did I. I'm proud of my cousin too, we've been the closest of them all and he's driving and has a job now that's he's 16. He's still a moron, but they all are. I just put time into trying to be a good influence and expect a lot of that is grown out of.
Yeah it's funny because I'm in my thirties and still look relatively young. Haven't got fat, keep in shape, not balding. But I still feel like I'm perceived as super old when I talk to young adults/teens. Like bro I can easily outrun you and out pull up you, you ain't it. I seldom ever approach them unless its the mentors at my kids extracurriculars (coaches and stuff for the littles). Hopefully the boys figure / have figured out their stuff.
I've never looked my age in my 10s thru the 40s now. I'm not in good enough shape to out run any of them though. Maybe some random fat ones.
I don't really approach, honestly that seems weird, but I've just been at things where a friend brings their 14 year old or whatever who's kinda out of place and just hiding over to the side or sitting at a restaurant table ignoring everyone, etc. I just started talking with them rather than just ignoring and realized I kinda have a gift for interacting with teenagers. I don't even understand why sometimes. So I try to use it be a good influence. I don't think most perceive me as old at least they claim they don't. I'm not sure why, I won't tell them whatever trend is cool or I like it, I'll tell them I think it's dumb straight up. I guess they appreciate the honesty in a way that doesn't look down on them.
