I’ve tried to explain this to boomers for years in ways that might break through the lifetime of “one race, the human race” brainwashing they’ve faced, it’s difficult to get through to boomers, even when they’re republicans. I have 2 main graphs that sometimes work to wake them up though

The first graph I post shows how each of the various races rate each other from most favorable to least favorable. There were thousands of respondents involved in the study this graph came from, and Whites are the only race who view all other races as equals to themselves, while all non-Whites view their own race most favorably by a lot….and in every case, they view Whites least favorably out of the bunch. Boomers need to see this data to understand that other races aren’t race blind like Whites, they openly love their own kind and hate you just because you’re White, race matters a lot to them. https://files.catbox.moe/gu8ms6.jpeg

Then i show them the graph you posted, well, not the same one but it’s similar. I try to tell them that Whites are THE ONLY demographic who vote majority Republican, and not by much, while ALL other racial demographics vote as a majority Democrat, some like blacks vote a supermajority Democrat, then I follow up that comment with “and you know how much democrats hate everything about this nation, right? So why would you ever allow government to turn the nation majority Democrat (minority White) when you know it will erase everything you love about this country?”

Once in awhile they come out of the conversation understanding why race matters to some degree even if they don’t want it to matter.
