why are people still using discord?

because it's free and incredibly easy to set up. simple as.

too true, but that doesn't stop people from using it. in addition to Discord, see Google, Youtube, All social media platforms, and even this site.

This site is not nearly as bad as discord, or telegram. YouTube has long since had content creators just have radio shows to discuss what YouTube censors. As bad as that is, I dosn't see the FBI targeting people on youtube because of private messages. I don't see people in jail or with charges.
