ConPro is awful now and a ghost-town to boot. I remember when it used to have weekly discussions. Now there's maybe 30 regulars at a push. For them, there is no concept of moderation. If Trump didn't win his 2nd term, the entire West would be on its way to certain doom. He might not be what we want, but it's a start. The GOP needs decades of flushing out and replacing with people like us. You cannot start a new party because it will never gain any traction. No third party has ever won. Your only option is to co-opt the reds or blues and wait for the dead weight to actually die off. That won't happen in Trump's term, or Vance's terms (assuming he's not a turncoat), and probably not even during the terms of orange man's kids if it gets to that point.

But it was made clear in January 2021 that things were never going to boil over. If having an entire year of your life stolen from you by lockdowns, many of your bridges burned with people you trusted, and a blatantly stolen election weren't enough of a reason for you to go postal, then nothing would ever be enough.
