There doesn't seem to be anything new and exciting going on these days.
No fads taking everyone by storm. No new technology everyone is discussing (AI is pretty meh at the moment, especially with the censorship). No new entertainment everyone has to see.
Maybe I'm out of the loop but I don't feel I am. Anyone else kinda feel this way?
"Cringe compilations" literally killed any culture we could have anymore.
Literally, you can see it in every corner how much people fear being sincere about anything because they might come across as cringe. Everything needs to be dipped in 3 layers of irony and sarcasm and subversion to just say what you actually want to be said.
This means nobody is willing to stand behind things once they get criticized, everyone is playing this game of Pig Latin to talk about things they enjoy, and we instead have a massive culture of people looking for reasons to destroy things (cancelling for the Woke, just calling it Woke for the not-Woke) until there is nothing left that passes the Purity Spiral.
Ironically, the places who aren't concerned about being cringe are ones like Facebook comment sections and that's because its the oldest or most retarded people possible who simply do not know or care about being seen as raving lunatics. They are sincere in their delusions, even if its easily disproven nonsense.
