I'm, not debating them. I'm just saying that the left wasn't benefited by Kirk's murder. On the contrary, the event only served to further the cause of the opposing side. In a similar way, celebrating political assassinations would be bad for the right if they begin doing it.
So exactly how is celebrating the defeat of a communist invasion 'counterproductive'?
If it wasn't for the esteemed Yamaguchi Otoya, Japan would be under complete marxist occupation now, and the economic prosperity that led to the Golden Age of Man would never have happened. No one's calling out the lies of the left - not even their mainstream media has bothered to make any sort of correction after calling the shooter a 'boomer' / 'from a maga family'. The only "benefit" is that it has marked clear lines in the sand.
Here's the problem with your argument: You assume that the left has any kind of honor and decency, that they have standards. That they have lines that should not be cross.
They do not. They'll screech for decades about St. Fentanyl, but celebrate the murder of those they deem 'fascist' (i.e, anyone to the right of Pol Pot)
