White Flight was rarely from violent dispossession. For the most part it was economic need and a sense of unfamiliarity. Whites who fled from violent crime were some of the last people to leave. The first groups of people were people who noticed that their property values had stagnated or hadn't improved. Typically this would be the result of Leftist economic policies that they had already supported, while also different policies supported bringing in large black populations that would vote Democrat in political blocks. The second wave of white flight came from people who had now realized that they lived in a completely demographically changed area already. They were older, their friends had gone (or died), their kids didn't live in the town they grew up in, and most of the businesses and street life had changed. So, realizing that they needed to sell their house to live off the profits for retirement anyway, they did so. Only the last group of whites, who would have lived long enough in the town for them to already have been considered in the extremely small minority, would they have moved for the crime. The increase in crime rates came much later, not initially, and not even during the middle of the demographic change.
Nah it was violence. Detroit riots led to people fleeing. Same thing is now happening in NY and California thanks to legal crime.
In fact, there used to be a video of Baltimore a few years back that was in black and white and filmed in the late 50's or early 60's. Wish I had it but it was censored. A bunch of whites were yelling niggers not welcome here, stating that they'll bring crime and violence. Looks like they were right.
No it isn't, and every bit of data shows it, including the personal experiences. Most whites left prior to spikes in crimes. And many black neighborhoods weren't criminal until they started adopting left-wing policies and values.
