Just so everyone is on the same page on the last point, two former high-level DoD officials advised a leader of a FOREIGN COUNTRY with a plan for the US to invade ANOTHER country. Then one of those people became a DoD official again, and the US promptly invaded that country a couple years later.
We were essentially sold two lies on Iraq: the first from the right, that WMDs required invasion, and the second from the left, that the war was for oil. Neither the left or the right could admit that the war was for the sake of Israel. Now, some years later, we are blatantly bombing Iran for the sake of Israel, and not only that, but Israel is directly giving the orders.

Heck, in some ways Israel is a giant deep state; they're even more intertwined than in the US, considering the origins of modern Israel. And, again, OP was talking about Zionist and whatever influence, not saying Bibi was personally running everything.
