He was giving you that nuanced view you mentioned. For some reason, government schools never mention that there was a German communist revolution in 1918 that forced Germany to negotiate from a position of weakness at Versailles and they ignore the continued communist political violence including several localized uprisings throughout the 20s and early 30s.
Yes but he's not mainstream and he couldn't pass a college exam, despite being factually accurate, because most professors would flunk him.
