I remember watching a video or reading something where China has a HUGE problem with random people going on stabbing sprees especially near schools. China obviously suppresses this information but it seems more people are just breaking and just want to destroy themselves and everyone around them.
Faiths at least allow the venting of negativity through confessions, this is only going to increase the pressure till it's just wide spread anarchy.
Historically, the Chinese masses have two modes, they're either subservient bugmen who accept whatever indignities their overlords impose or they're rabid revolutionaries who run up the highest scores they can.
