The point isn't abuse, its that you are completely lost in the trap of "well I'm fine so they must be fine period."
The abuse of them isn't in their overuse, its their overprescription and lifelong commitment, in which you can physically watch people slow down into a zombielike state with an empty stare that is common enough for people to note it. A problem so slow acting that people on it rarely notice it happening to themselves, but because people on them never really quit they lack the perspective to ever see it.
What you're describing is the intended effect, they work well enough to shut people up so we stop complaining about our problems and that's the whole reason I'm forced to take them, because my parents are my only real life social contact and they don't want to hear me complain.
No part of what you said is a positive thing, and you have my pity for it. And saying such, you now answered your original question about why people hate them.
Depends on your perspective. If you're in a position where complaining has gotten you banned on every platform you've ever used, kicked out of every friend group you've had, damaged your family life and put you at risk of homelessness then being numbed to the point of not caring about anything is at least of some benefit.
People really just hate when men like me speak about our problems and attack us when we do, so either we accept endless abuse and put our lives at risk because of it or we shut up, pretend everything is fine and are allowed to exist in society. Drugs are the only option.
My nigger, I was disowned by my family at a young age and was a MRA 20 years ago when it was actively dangerous to be so. I've been outcasted and been actually homeless. I know what men can suffer under and I got my ass beat naively trying to campaign against it for years.
You will not get my sympathy for giving yourself up to drugs to hold onto people who don't care about you, making yourself a meek compliant little zombie and for what? You are still miserable in the only life you have.
People will hate when you speak up about it. That will never change, and that means you only have yourself to rely on to drag yourself out of it and find a purpose in your own life. Life isn't fair, and its especially not for men. Crying like a victim about it doesn't make it better either, so the sooner you get that trait out of your mind the sooner you can start to make some steps forward.
