Yeah. It's just a mess. Even with alternatives like BasedFlare (is that any good?) I can't imagine that it's easy to get a leg in a market like this.
I did hear that /r/thedeprogram (a subreddit dedicated to a communist podcast, from what I know) got banned around the time of the murder, but I feel like it's more just a case of "Let's ban this one subreddit that agrees with us but is acting out too severely to make it look like we care" than any thorough attempt to clean up their image.
