I'm of the opinion that most of the Left is now fully in the pocket of Cartels and street gangs. The way they used to be with the mob, but ever since the Left embraced Black Radicalism, violent street gangs became the donors, and a way of laundering money. The Gangster Disciples, for example had huge influence on the Black Political scene until the FBI discovered that they were effectively assassinating judges and police officers, and were plotting terrorist attacks that involved getting Javelin missiles from Ghadaffi. They had set up Black Radical "madrassas" (for lack of a better word) in order to get money from state grants for "community education".
The problem is, in the long run, the Gangster Disciples basically won, because most of the Black Radical movement (Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, Black Liberation Army) got into power via the Black Congressional Caucus. This is why you keep seeing media like Mafia 3 and Wolfenstein have Assata Shakur knock-off characters, and why Britain keeps pretending that Yakub history is real, and how the Anglo-Saxons were Black. Despite being shot to pieces and jailed, the movements legitimate organs made huge headway and have disproportionate political clout. Most of the anti-white DIE initiatives can be found related to Black Radicalism of the 1970's. Including the claims that the white race is an inherently psychopathic race that can't be cured of racism but must be replaced or effectively erased.
Now what we are seeing is that same level of terrorism and criminality finding allies in mainstream Leftist politics. Katie Hobbes, for example, is very likely engaged in mortgage fraud and embezzling money with the cartel, as one of her relators was a cartel member doing exactly that for other people. Albrego Garcia is clearly an MS-13 human trafficker (MS-13 has been actively defended in public by the Democrats now for almost 10 years). At no point of the Dems attempted to secure their own city, and anarcho-terrorism would suggest that that is intentional, and they are working with the worst criminal elements available. I think the only reason that DC isn't currently setting National Guard troops on fire is because the Mayor probably stopped getting kick-backs from the cartel, and/or got threatened herself.
