I made a joke about a 41 year-old anime woman. Life ban. They wouldn't even show me what the post was.
By sheer coincidence I was joining the mod team on some minor "right wing" comedy subs (they poked fun at leftists). I know they COULD show me the comment, it's right there in the complaint-bot's report. But they refused to.
Uzaki-chan Wants To Hang Out Which got heat for being "controversial" even before it aired. They used Uzaki's (Hana) image in a blood donation drive. Hana Uzaki is 19 at the start of the manga.
I made the joke about the mother who is 43 and has 3 kids, but looks more like Hana's sister. She also has even bigger boobs than Hana's J's. I cannot recall exactly what I said, but I'm also sure it wasn't ban-worthy. The comment I replied to also got a ban too, but I don't think that's why I got one.
People raged on how impossible Uzaki-chan's figure was. 4'11" and J cups. But in fact the VA (Oozora, Naomi) is also a shortstack too. 5' 0" but a modest C cup, which is big for Japan. There's another VA who's about 4' 9" and has a BIG rack!
Many of Oozra's characters are really short too. She's got a solid acting resume, lots of MCs.
Uzaki is literally a meme character archetype in Japanese media, the giga stacked brat is literally everywhere and she is one of the most tame versions of it. They show how tourist they are by not knowing that.
Its very funny how controversial that show got, when it subverts most common anime tropes to begin with. They are college adults, they work jobs, the Male MC is far and away more fanservice than Uzaki ever could be (fucking shredded, brooding loner with a massive dick, immediately proposes shortly after dating).
Wow, thats some crazy shit. And to think I was permanently banned from Reddit for the sentence, "a boy is not a woman".
