I was banned for the same reason. Although, in my case, my comment was something more akin to:
"Trans people are degenerates who will never be more than poor facsimiles of the other sex. They'll never become anything more than a sad parody of what they can never be."
Not worth a ban, imo, but I guess that it's all in the eye of the beholder. Never bothered going back there since then.
