You still have to sell it, and you have to show something. Why should someone crowdfund this, for a potential game down the road, when they could just buy existing games that do a lot of the same things, for example?
Again, I don't hate it or them, and I wish them the best, but they're just not really showing much so far.
What exactly is on the linked page, if not something?
The page shows early gameplay videos with working mechanics, concept art, and lays out the overall concept for the game. It's not a fully polished game but that's exactly what you should expect from an authentic indie crowdfunding effort.
Kvltgames also has a track record of delivering. Their stuff is mechanically solid and enjoyable in itself, not just meme-tier slop like that Kyle Rittenhouse game or Steam shovelware.
Why would anyone crowdfund anything, when you can play 30 years worth of back catalog games? Why watch new TV, movies, read books, or listen to music?
I mean honestly I don't understand the point of your comment. If you're so autistic that you've checked out of living in anything that's present-day, then why bother commenting? Log off and enjoy your shit until you die.
I don't expect a videogame to change the world but it's not a bad thing to play a new game for a few hours once in awhile and blow some shit up. Even better if that game is actually promoting some good ideas, and not the typical Niggerworship and Faggotry.
