The first one goes over the first Black Panther movie. The big issue is that it presents Killmonger as a mostly good guy, and even a lot of the writers and the actor who played Black Panther himself explicitly stated that they considered him the real hero of the movie. To be clear, his goal is to start an international race war that Wakanda can use to conquer the rest of the planet and create an international black ethno-imperial state enforced with state sponsored murder and suppression.
It's an hour in, but Connor basically summarizes it as "incompetent and malicious".
How malicious. Allow me to quote "the real hero of the film":
You know where I'm from, when black folks started revolutions, they never had the firepower or resources to fight their oppressors. Where was Wakanda, hmm? Yeah, all that ends today. We've got spies embedded in every nation on Earth, already in place. I know how colonizers think so we're gonna use their own strategy against them. We're gonna send Vibranium weapons out to War Dogs. They'll arm oppressed people all over the world so they can finally rise up and kill those in power, and their children, and anyone else who takes their side. We're warriors, the world's gonna start over and this time we're on top.
Mass racial genocide as a categorical imperative, and yes, your children MUST be murdered without exception. Anyone who defends you will also die, along with their children as well.
"sympathetic villain".
I'm not a "Around Blacks Never Relax" groyper fag, but if a black person tells you that Killmonger is a good guy, and your white, you'd better be fucking armed.
The second movie is more of the same race resentment / race war morality dilemma, but this time it creates a fake Latino civilization to play the race war narrative back again. This one has the mud-hut skyscrapers and bongo drum doors.
These films are just loaded with race hatred and racial resentment.
The Lotus Eaters do a deep dive, but the full features are behind the paywall.
