$2300 is a batshit fucking insane rent price.

This is more or less the minimum monthly wage in the Netherlands. Just for rent.

I work as a programmer and I couldn't afford $2300 in rent.

That’s because you make nothing in the Netherlands. Mid level programmers here make $150k/year in pretty much any city.

Even the Indians shipped in en masse are out earning you.
