The Christiansen's new format is just terrible. He can't carry a show by himself and none of his co-hosts outside of Frank are listenable. But yeah, he has essentially zero interest in talking about anything Israel/Gaza related.
His short form video essays are still very good, but usually kind of irrelevant.
I've spent my "entertainment/support" budget on him and Blonde for the last several years (I figure big support to one small channel is probably worth a lot more than spreading it around to a bunch of different channels) and this year I just couldn't justify it any more.
He made a bad call with how he handled Blonde. From what I gathered from both sides of the argument, she treated the relationship as more friendly and would have been willing to take $0 if he'd asked for it to make up for losing the Tenet money, but he treated it as a business partnership and refused to negotiate.
I did a bit of research, and after my comment, and he's not as bad as I'd feared, but yeah, it's still not good.

Yeah, he talks Epstein/Trump, but doesn't bring in the obvious link, and I'm not sure he's ever talked Gaza.

Yeah, I've already tuned out. They're just not that important, as you say. Again, I was one of his earliest fans, so I don't say that gleefully. They're just sideline stuff.

Absolutely. I sided with him more than Blonde, but he still fucked it up royally. I don't think it was ideological primarily, and more just general autism, but he still shot himself in the foot on the whole issue. He'd been generously overpaying her for years and, if he'd handled it better, could have talked her down and paid her less. Instead he freaked out over and actual injury, and accused her of various bullshit. It was just an insane story. Sure, she's a bit of a hypochondriac, but she'd suffered and actual injury, and you don't know how bad that is until you actually get it checked out. He was an absolute autist, and accused her of faking the whole thing. Which she didn't. He also didn't take the whole Woman thing into account, and triggered her feminism. It was just a mess. Again, I actually generally took his side on the whole thing, but that doesn't mean he didn't also totally fuck up.

I think she wanted money too, for sure, but yeah, he just insulted her big time and hurt her woman feelings. And I'm not even taking shots here, he just didn't handle it well. He insulted her for no reason, or at least the wrong reasons, and destroyed the relationship. And, again, this is coming from someone who sided more with him than her. But he fucked up big time, and his viewership numbers have shown that after the fact.
