As long as you use the same argument for things like alcohol. I rarely drink. By no stretch of the imagination would anyone ever try to argue that I have an alcohol addiction. For someone who drinks a bit more, say one or twice a week and never goes overboard, similarly it would be difficult to argue that's an issue.
For right or wrong, porn is viewed similarly. Most people are happy to draw a line somewhere, just not at zero like the absolutists.
That being said, at bare minimum it needs to go back to being stigmatized much much more than currently. Letting people talk about it openly and even participate in it openly without social consequences has been a huge mistake.
It's cheaper than the alternative.
