I think the point of the show is "populist right" and "populist left". I remember Krystal Ball for persecuting the Covington Boys, so she is indeed a very damaged human being.

I mean, it's Europe, anyone prominent is going to be left. The issue with people like Le Pen is, she at least acts like a populist. That's what attracts the right. No matter what her other policies, she says we have to turn back on the issues that are destroying society; that's a powerful message to everyone. The populist/nationalist right loves populists, nationalists, and the concepts or getting back on a better track and actually having countries look after their own people.

I know why they support her. For the same reason I support her (I'm way to the left of USAmericans economically as well, but not as far as Le Pen). But it's still ironic.
