Yep, it's just standard cult behavior. Find people who are unwanted, love bomb them until they join your cult, then make it very clear that if they ever try to so much as associate with an outsider, you'll destroy them. It's as textbook as it gets, and in 20 years we'll all be watching documentaries about how the trans cult nearly destroyed the west. That or the trans cult will have destroyed the west. Those are really the only two options left.
